PCCB, 2011: Pueri Concinite

Les petits chanteurs à la croix de bois (PCCB).  Absolutely one of the best treble groups.  Recorded December 2011.  Soloist is Baudouin Aube, a personal favorite.

I’m not quite sure why I prefer Baudouin’s version over the famously famous Jean-Baptiste Maunier from PCSM.  Honestly, Jean-Baptiste’s does sound better from a purely musical point of view, but somehow Baudouin’s version just sounds more sincere.  The arrangements are different, obviously.  PCCB generally leans toward pure vocals as opposed to PCSM which generally relies upon orchestra accompaniment.  Both great trebles, nonetheless.
